With the quick development of digital and intelligent industries, Shanghai's Jing'an district has leveraged new technologies including big data, cloud computing, AI and blockchain to facilitate high-quality development, according to official sources.
Currently, the amount of big data enterprises situated in Shibei Hi-tech Park accounted for one-third of Shanghai's total, said Wu Qinan, deputy director of the Jing'an district's science and technology commission, during an interview with media on Wednesday.
"In our park, about 3.31 square kilometers in size, there are some 3,000 enterprises that contribute more than 9 billion yuan taxation on an annual basis," said Chen Jun, president of Shibei Hi-tech Park.
"The Shanghai municipal government and Jing'an district government have provided us lots of support in our growth and created a prime business environment," said Liu Chen, board director of Intsig Information Co Ltd, a technology firm specializing in artificial intelligence and big data.
Founded in 2006, Intsig's three major applications have been downloaded more than 750 million times via the Apple App Store and Google Play as of June 2022.
