Treefrog homestay in Liuhe town, Taicang, a county-level city in East China's Jiangsu province, opened to the public on Feb 17.
The homestay, which is a part of a 4,400-mu (293.33 hectares) agricultural, cultural, and tourism project, will inject great vitality into the town's tourism sector, said local authorities.
The project, which will make full use of the town's ecological resources, as well as its history and culture, is designed to provide services for fruit picking, leisure, sightseeing, catering, accommodation, health, and wellness.
Authorities have been making efforts to develop water-themed tour in recent years, with the establishment of the Yangtze River Resort being a milestone to bolster its all-for-one tourism.
Liuhe Ancient Town, which is renowned for its sailing and fishery culture, is another must-visit attraction in the town.
In addition, authorities are taking advantage of the town's infrastructure, such as the Yangtze River High-speed Railway, to optimize its industrial structures. It has built industrial clusters for high-end equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, and digital economy.
