Huangshan firm wins multiple orders at French expo

Huangshan Jiehui Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd – based in Huangshan city in Anhui province – won a raft of orders after it attended an event in France.

The company participated in an international hotel and catering industry exhibition called Sirha Lyon, which was held on Jan 23-27 in the city of Lyon.

It signed preliminary supply agreements with more than 20 customers, in deals worth a combined 10 million yuan ($1.45 million).

Huangshan Jiehui Environmental Protection Technology Co Ltd is a paper products manufacturer that mainly sells eco-friendly disposable paper lunch boxes, paper bowls and paper cups.

The company's move was part of Anhui's broader efforts to expand its overseas markets and boost international trade. According to the Anhui Provincial Department of Commerce, 119 people from 54 enterprises made business trips overseas with local government support – to visit potential clients from Dec 14 to the end of last year.

Moving forwards, plans are for the company to attend more international expos to drum up more orders. It plans to attend the 2023 edition of Fabex, which will be held in Tokyo on April 12, among other expos in the US, Mexico and Italy.
