21 WND firms named key industry cluster leading enterprises in Wuxi

Wuxi has released its list of key industry cluster leading enterprises for 2022, with 21 enterprises from the Wuxi National Hi-tech District being selected, more than any other area of the city.

Industry cluster leading enterprises were selected based on their landmark industries and advantageous industries in the industrial system known as "465". The chosen companies had stable operating performance, a solid development foundation, and comprehensive strength. They had significant influence and were a driving force within their respective industries.

The 21 selected companies based in WND accounted for 25.6 percent of the city's total. They had a total output value of 203.98 billion yuan ($29.92 billion) in 2022, accounting for 33.04 percent of the total industrial output value of enterprises above designated size in the district.

The selected enterprises covered four landmark industries in WND, namely the internet of things, integrated circuits, biomedicine, software, and information technology, as well as four advantageous industries, namely high-end equipment, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, and automobile components.

WND will accelerate the shaping of an outstanding industrial chain dominated by outstanding industries with strong core competitiveness and obvious landmark characteristics, develop into a high-end benchmark area with regional and international influence, and build a high-quality development model, according to officials.
