Three WND overseas research centers unveiled in Germany

The overseas research and development centers of three enterprises based in Wuxi New District in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, were recently established in Germany, local media reported on Feb 8.

The predecessor of Goldwind Technology's German company is the wind energy research laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences in Saarbrucken, which was taken over by Goldwind Technology in 2008.

Making use of the sufficient capital, abundant operational experience and strong production capacity of Goldwind Technology, the German company started operating as an independent brand after its self-produced wind turbine generator entered the European market.

IGEN Tech, the largest provider of solutions to independent photovoltaic monitoring in China, is expected to forge closer cooperation with energy industry partners around the world by building an overseas R&D center.

The IGEN's intelligent energy internet platform has operated more than 300,000 online power stations to date.

Wuxi-based Freshair AQ Technology has cooperated with German universities and research institutes for eight years and continues to study the latest low-carbon construction technologies.

WND enterprises have so far set up 31 overseas research institutes, including the hydrogen fuel cell R&D center of Weifu High-Technology in Denmark and Belgium and the R&D center of Little Swan in the US, South Korea, and Germany.

Both Wuxi and Jiangsu authorities have in recent years rolled out policies to support local enterprises in the establishment of overseas research institutes so as to take advantage of overseas high-caliber talent, advanced research conditions and a favorable innovation environment.
