Guangdong recruits commercial cryptography talents

As a province with a large digital economy, Guangdong has many application scenarios for commercial cryptography, such as smart transportation and intelligent traffic. 

Guo Zhicong, head of the information department at Guangzhou Science City Information Technology Group, made the announcement recently.

The Guangdong Province Cryptographic Application and Innovation Demonstration Base was established in Huangpu district in March 2020, and many excellent related enterprises have already moved in.

"Cryptographic technology applicator is a multidisciplinary profession, where cryptography and computer technology are intertwined. It requires knowledge of national laws and regulations, so the requirements are strict," added Guo.

The size of the commercial cryptography industry has continued to expand. According to the statistics of ZJQX (Beijing) International Information Consulting, the size of the commercial cryptography industry is expected to reach 93.75 billion yuan ($13.81 billion) in 2023. 

At present, China's demand for cryptographic personnel is about 300,000 people, with an actual talent gap of about 200,000.
