Maoming adds 44,100 new jobs in 2022

In 2022, a total of 44,100 new urban jobs were created in Maoming, 19,400 urban unemployed people were re-employed, and 32,300 people with employment difficulties found jobs.

Last year, Maoming issued funds of 618 million yuan ($91 million) for various market entities to solve difficulties, as well as issued 9.31 million yuan in subsidies for college graduates, such as employment subsidies at the grassroots level and internship subsidies. It also organized 216 online and offline recruitment activities. The employment rate of college graduates in Maoming was 95.07 percent.

Maoming held 11 targeted recruitment events, in which 250 people found positions. It encouraged college graduates to find jobs at the grassroots level, with the city recruiting 53 new college graduates to work in public employment services at the grassroots level last year. It also issued 76 guaranteed loans for startups, valued at 60.46 million yuan.
