Zhuhai's general public budget revenue increased by 1.7 percent to 43.74 billion yuan ($6.45 billion) in 2022, which is 1.1 percentage points higher than the provincial average, announced officials from the Zhuhai Finance Bureau on Feb 6.
Tax revenue at municipal and county-levels in Zhuhai reached 29.06 billion yuan ($4.28 billion) last year, with a natural increase that tops in Guangdong Province.
Zhuhai has fully utilized its finances to support economic and social development, including industrial development and livelihood improvement projects. The financial stock of the city totaled 25.49 billion yuan ($3.76 billion), of which 25.47 billion yuan ($3.75 billion) was utilized.

As of the end of 2022, Zhuhai has spent more than 3.7 billion yuan ($545.46 million) on investment attraction, aiming to attract a batch of manufacturing projects with strong leading capabilities and outstanding economic benefits.
A total of 19.6 billion yuan ($2.9 billion) in funds went to the construction of industrial parks, and priority was given to land preparation and the construction of large-scale industrial parks, such as the Zhuhai-Jiangmen industrial cluster and Gree Electric Appliances High-End Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in Jinwan's Gaolan Port Economic Zone. Public services and supporting facilities in citywide industrial parks were also fully upgraded.
In addition, the city allocated 4.4 billion yuan ($648.7 million) to support the technical transformation of enterprises and development of integrated circuit industry in 2022. Another 264 million yuan ($39 million) was allocated to stimulate foreign trade growth. Moreover, a total of 500 million yuan ($74 million) was put towards discovering a new model for the high-quality development of the economy.
Of note, Zhuhai's total tax reduction and rebate stood at 18.9 billion yuan ($2.7 billion) in 2022, a historical high.
Zhuhai has also been devoting continuous efforts to optimize its financial service platform for local enterprises and residents. As of the end of 2022, the platform has allowed applicants to handle 132 subsidy projects online and distributed 857 million yuan ($126 million).
