Huangpu to add 30 new test roads for intelligent connected vehicles

Huangpu district recently decided to add 30 new test roads for intelligent connected vehicles.

In recent years, Huangpu has actively built a pilot area for the road testing of intelligent connected vehicles in Guangzhou.

In 2022, Huangpu issued demonstration operation guidelines for autonomous public transportation, covering autonomous ride-hailing vehicles, taxis, buses, and convenience service vehicles.

The guidelines clarified application requirements for demonstration operators and vehicles and helped intelligent connected vehicle enterprises accumulate road testing experience.

To date, the district has issued one qualification notice for intelligent connected vehicle demonstration and is dealing with others.

To date, the district has opened a total of 156 test roads for intelligent connected vehicles, with a total length of 228.28 kilometers, and its testing area is constantly expanding.

Huangpu has gathered many enterprises and projects with core technologies and industry influence, such as WeRide and Baidu Apollo so that they will develop into an intelligent connected vehicle industry cluster.
