Authorities in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province will hold a series of cultural events to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival and Lantern Festival.
The activities will involve art performances, folk customs, exhibitions and reading activities.
Local art troupes will stage more than 50 performances at the city's scenic spots such as the China Grand Canal Museum and the Renfengli historical and cultural block during the two festivals.
Folk events including lion dances, dragon dances and lantern parades will be held at the Slender West Lake scenic area, Geyuan Garden and Heyuan Garden during the same period.
More than 60 cultural events including exhibitions and a study tour will be held in Yangzhou's museums, libraries and art galleries during the period.
In addition, a series of reading activities will be held in the city's libraries and reading rooms from Jan 22 to Feb 5.
