Tourism industry makes comeback in Jining

The tourism market in Jining witnessed a robust recovery during the recently concluded Spring Festival holiday, which took place from Jan 21 to 27.

During the holiday, scenic spots across the city launched various cultural and tourism activities, which attracted a large number of tourists.

Three Confucius sites, namely, the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion, received flocks of visitors at the large-scale live performances, New Year fairs, and intangible cultural heritage experience activities.

In the Liangshan scenic area, which is themed on The Water Margin, one of the China's "Four Great Classical Novels", tourists had the chance to immerse themselves in Water Margin culture through sightseeing, traditional folk bowl music performances, and games based on the novel.

In addition, the large-scale original stage drama that is based on The Water Margin was well received by the audience.

In order to better serve tourists, the Zoucheng culture and tourism bureau offered chrysanthemum tea, ginger tea and other warm teas in key places where tourists gathered, so that tourists can feel the hospitality and warmth of Mencious' hometown in the cold winter.
