160,000 square meters of flower fields in bloom

The Spring Festival Flower Show at the Pingsha Rice Planting (Demonstration) Center, Qianfeng Community, Pingsha Town, covers a total of 160,000 square meters of flower fields. Currently, galsang flowers of various colors, including magenta, pink, and ballet, are starting to unfold and will soon be in full bloom. The Show will be held from January 14 to February 5, with a number of areas set up for Spring Festival groceries, food court, camping, performance, playing with pets, etc.

Swamp cypress trees are turning red as scheduled in Doumen Huangyang River Wetland Park, Xiashan Park, Modaomen Waterway, Xincun Village in Qianwu Town, Huangyang Village in Jing'an Town, and Shangzhou Village in Doumen Town. 

Lianzhou Town and Jing'an Town:

Flowers and mandarin trees are thriving

At the Yueshun Orchid Center in Dongwan Village, Lianzhou Town, the colorful phalaenopsis orchids are blooming gorgeously. 

In Longxi Village, Jing'an Town, a vast tract of golden mandarin oranges is thriving and hanging on the branches, which is quite a treat for the eyes.

Huitong Village:

Cantonese village integrating Chinese and western styles

Built as early as in the Qing Dynasty, Huitong Village has a beautiful environment with the Phoenix Hill at its back and water in front. It is a typical Cantonese village with architectures integrating Chinese and Western styles. Through village upgrading, not only has Huitong made full use of its resources as an ancient village, but also built a large park nearby. The new and old buildings echo each other with similar black bricks and gray tiles.

During the Spring Festival holiday, Huitong Village will hold a variety of Spring Festival activities every day. These fun events include lion dance parade, paper-cutting, bamboo weaving, red envelope DIY, solving lantern riddles, etc. 

Lianjiang Village:

Village good for bicycling along fertile fields

Lianjiang Village at Lianzhou Town, characterized with houses of black bricks and gray tiles as well as blossoms alongside, is full of tranquil Lingnan style. Bicycling on the green lane that connects the village and the fields is an enchanting experience. You will find out the magnificent change of the village under the policy of rural revitalization. At the history museum, you can experience its rural culture and customs directly.

Meanwhile, you will be able to taste specialties cooked with natural ingredients in Lianjiang Village. There are 15 new "one family, one product" business projects that villagers have started, such as the Xiangzi Noodle House, Lianxiaohao Oyster Bar, Firewood Steamed Buns, Bamboo Tube Steamed Vegetables, etc. You can go for a stroll around the 32 local farmer's booths, where you will be able to pick up fresh food products, like fruits and vegetables, and take home popular agricultural by-products, cured meat and dried seafood. Xiazhou Village:

Exploring traditional Spring Festival customs

Xiazhou Village, Doumen Town, was built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi (1661 to 1722) and has a history of more than 300 years. After its six-month renovation, the village will be unveiled on the first day of this year's Spring Festival, marking it officially open for business. During Spring Festival, you will be able to freely walk around the village and experience Doumen's local culture. You'll be able to taste the memorable specialties, including mugwort rice cakes, turnip cakes, taro cakes, Lo Mai Gai (sticky rice wrapped in a lotus leaf), Doumen Char Siu (barbecued pork), and Doumen sea bass. Please, don't forget to get a glimpse of Doumen's intangible cultural heritage through the lion dance and puppet show.

Taiwan Farmers Venture Park:

A free visit to the "world of flowers and fruits"

To spice up the Spring Festival holiday for visitors, Taiwan Farmers Venture Park will continue the excitement of the 2022 Guangdong (Zhuhai) Seed Industry Expo and present to visitors new varieties of flowers, fruits, and vegetables, aquatic products, as well as the latest scientific research achievements of Zhuhai's modern seed industry.
