A new China-Europe freight train loaded with automobiles made in Northwest China's Shaanxi province departed from Xi'an International Port Station in Xi'an – capital of the province – on Jan 16.
This marked the opening of the first China-Europe freight train route – Xi'an to Moscow – for automobile exports in Shaanxi.
The train will leave the country through the border Horgos Port in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and then transfer the vehicles to the Kazakhstan Railway at that country's Altynkol Station, before they finally arrive in Moscow in Russia.
The entire journey will take 20 days.
The new freight train service is projected to open up an efficient and convenient international logistics channel for auto companies in Shaanxi and surrounding areas to expand the international market.
