International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF), a leading flavor and fragrance brand from the United States, recently set up operations in the IBP International Business Park in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District.
IFF is a US top 500 companies and is listed on Wall Street. Its businesses cover four major areas – namely nutrition, health and life sciences, flavors and fragrances, and pharmacy.
The facility that has been established in Hongqiao CBD focuses on the health and life sciences sector, which corresponds to Hongqiao's plan of building a life science innovation center.
"In addition to government support and subsidies, the high-quality infrastructure and service capacities are also essential reasons for us to choose the park," said Cai Zhiqiang, general manager of IFF China.
The park offers sufficient electricity and has standard facilities for the disposal of sewage, gas, and hazardous wastes, which IFF has emphasized the most, according to Cai.
The IBP International Business Park is home to more than 10 Global Fortune 500 companies, including Johnson Controls, Unilever, Bosch, Danaher, Michelin and Otis.
