The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will do its best to fulfill various tasks in the new year by focusing on building four "world-class industries", four "national models", and four "national first-class items".
This is according to Li Li, Party secretary of Ordos city and a deputy to the first session of the 14th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Congress.
According to the plan, Ordos will build a world-class energy industry, a world-class modern coal chemical industry, a world-class new energy industry, and a world-class cashmere industry.
Also, Ordos will build itself into a national model regarding ecological treatment, civilized city construction, common prosperity and urban social governance.
Other plans for Ordos include creating a national first-class innovation ecology, a national first-class business environment, a national first-class city image and a national first-class cadre team.
Li also mentioned that this year, Ordos will expand its economic aggregate, develop more opportunities for the new energy equipment manufacturing industry, build a new engine for zero-carbon and low-carbon industries, and create new advancements in new energy and modern coal chemical industries.
Additionally, Ordos will start the construction of a national sustainable development and innovation demonstration zone, promote the establishment of Huairou laboratory's Inner Mongolia base, strive for the establishment of an energy science laboratory, and put the talent science and technology innovation center into operation.
