New era in China: British professor calls China the land of opportunity for young people

"I call China the land of opportunity for young people, this country provides a lot of hope for future generations," Abolfazl Bayat, a member of faculty at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) said.

Bayat is from the United Kingdom, and he has been in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan province, for five years. His research focus is quantum information and quantum technologies.

China is on the road of transforming from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing and technological innovation. Even though there will be many challenges, he believes that China will have amazing achievements in the future, whether in quantum technologies, electronics or space sector.
