Winners of ‘Discover Beautiful China’ photo and short video contest released

The award list of the “Discover Beautiful China” photo and short video contest, organized by China Daily and its Discover Beautiful China platform (dbc.chinaservicesinfo.com), was announced on Jan 9. The Top Award, Award for Best Video and Award for Best Photo were respectively awarded to three participants from both the individual category and organization category.

In the individual category, Andreev Aleksei from Russia won the Top Award with the work Across Guangxi on a Motorcycle. Lu Yunxiao and Qu Xiaoli received the Award for Best Video with their work Recording the Wildlife at Gaoligong Mountain. The Award for Best Photo was granted to Li Longhui for the work The Yellow River Estuary in Dongying.

In the organization category, I am in Lanzhou submitted by the Mobile TV Channel of Gansu Media Group won the Top Award. Red River from afar submitted by Yunnan Runshi Rongguang Movie Making Co. Ltd was granted the Award for Best Video. Discover Beautiful Tongcheng submitted by Tongcheng Media Center of Anhui received the Award for Best Photo.

Ten participants won the Excellence Award and 20 received the Special Award in the individual category. In the organization category, 40 participants won the Excellence Award.

The contest ran from Mid-August to late October 2022, and invited submissions of photos and short videos that depict the beautiful country of China. More than 5,000 entries from 21 countries and regions were received.
