Guanghe county, Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province, is making all-out efforts to boost medicine production and facilitate distribution to meet its citizens’ demands for medical care, especially for anti-epidemic medicines.
The 14 medical institutions in the county have set up fever clinics with 1,220 beds, and are providing 24-hour medical services.
In addition, Guanghe has signed purchase agreements with several pharmaceutical companies to store medical equipment, medicines, masks and other medical materials in an efficient and orderly manner.
"The county focuses on the management of key populations. Vaccinations were offered for the elderly, and 50,000 copies of traditional Chinese medicine decoctions were distributed to local residents for free," said Ma Weihua, an official of the county’s health bureau.
