3rd SGTIEC gathers global talents

The rematch of the 3rd Shanghai Global Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (SGTIEC) was held at the Shanghai Science Hall from Dec 18 to 19, 2022 in Shanghai, and all the finalists from the preliminary round of each regional competition showcased their skills.

The competition aims to fully stimulate the enthusiasm of global talents for innovation and entrepreneurship in Shanghai and accelerate the gathering of a group of high-level, innovative and entrepreneurial talents through "attracting talents by competition", "selecting talents by competition" and "gathering talents by competition".

The competition launched the global competition on Aug 3, 2022, and set up two competitions: overseas and domestic. The overseas division includes five divisions: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Singapore. The domestic division includes five divisions: Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shenzhen.

A total of 8,118 projects from all over the world were collected, including 6,394 entrepreneurial projects and 1,724 innovative projects, and 438 projects advanced to the semi-finals.

Among them were 31 overseas projects, 209 projects from the Shanghai division, 31 projects from other provinces and cities, and 33 award-winning projects from other places above the city level. Innovative and entrepreneurial competitions that cooperated with Haiju Talents advanced to the entrepreneurial track, and 134 projects advanced to the innovation track.

The judges of the competition will comprehensively question and score the innovation, social value, team project, development status and prospects shown by the contestants, and select the most competitive projects.

In the finals, a total of 70 projects from the two tracks will compete for the first, second and third prizes, and the awards ceremony for the winning projects will be held at the Shanghai Global Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit.
