The finals of the 11th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition recently ended, and the enterprises from Guangzhou's Huangpu district achieved superior results in the competition.
Yunzhou Biotechnology (Guangzhou) won first prize in the growth category, and Guangdong Guna Technology won third prize in the start-up category.
This year's competition focuses on emerging industries such as new-generation information technology, biomedicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, new energy, and environmental protection. The competition also announces the "Top 50 Companies in Innovation and Entrepreneurship" during the event.
Four technology enterprises in Guangzhou's Huangpu district were successfully shortlisted for the national finals, namely: Guangdong Guna Technology, Yunzhou Biotechnology (Guangzhou), Guangzhou ExcelMab, and Guangdong Heyi New Materials Research Institute.
Over its 11 sessions, the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has gathered over 280,000 participating enterprises and teams, and accumulated investments that exceed 100 billion yuan ($15 billion).
Over 890 Huangpu-based enterprises participated in the competition throughout the years, of which 482 won awards and monetary prizes worth 31.8 million yuan.
