WND promoted at national IC event

The CSIA-ICCAD 2022 Annual Conference and Xiamen Integrated Circuit Industry Innovation and Development Summit were held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province, on Dec 26-27.

At the exhibition area, Wuxi National Hi-tech District displayed its IC industry development history and industrial foundation, as well as its policy advantages in promoting the construction and service of public service platforms.

During the event, Gu Guodong, deputy director of WND, talked with senior executives of various IC enterprises including Actt, Shanghai UniVista Industrial Software Group, and M Square. Gu introduced the development and industrial policies of the IC industry in WND and expects these companies to carry out projects in the district.

Wuxi ranked fourth in the 2022 IC design industry city rankings announced during the event.

WND is the key area of Wuxi for developing the IC industrial chain. In the first three quarters of 2022, the output value of WND’s IC industry exceeded 109.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent. The annual output value is expected to exceed 130 billion yuan.

WND is now home to more than 400 IC companies with over 68,000 employees. The district has developed a complete industrial system covering the entire industrial chain, including IC design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, and equipment materials.
