Taizhou in East China's Jiangsu province has gigabit 5G and optical fiber coverage, according to a recent report announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
In recent years, Taizhou has compiled and issued the Plan of Information and Communication Engineering (2022-2035), which included the construction of an optical fiber network and 5G stations in overall urban plans and detailed control plans.
There are currently 7,788 5G base stations in Taizhou, all 112 towns and townships have 5G network coverage, and the 5G network access rate in key places is 100 percent.
In 2023, another 1,500 5G base stations will be built. The city expects to complete its goal of providing 5G coverage in both urban and rural areas, enabling fixed and mobile networks to reach all households by gigabit.
