Xiangzhou to further boost unmanned system growth

Enterprises developing unmanned systems brought their latest sci-tech research products to Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District for the 2022 Unmanned Systems Conference, which opened on Dec 27.

Jointly held by the China Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Xiangzhou District People's Government, the conference also invited scholars and experts from both within China and abroad to get a closer look at the advanced technologies and future industrial development trends of unmanned systems.

There were various forums on pressing issues regarding unmanned systems. These topics included the standards for marine unmanned systems and intelligent ships, application of unmanned safety emergency systems, and unmanned police systems and countermeasure technologies.

The finals of the Xiangzhou Cup Unmanned System Innovation Competition were concurrently held during the conference. Award-winning projects selected from 20 innovative enterprises (teams), including ARCGine Technologies and Intesight Technologies, have been encouraged to settle in Xiangzhou District because of its preferential policies and investment potential.

A three-day exhibition on the latest unmanned system technologies was staged to bring an immersive science and technology experience to visitors. Industrial pioneers such as Engine Tech, Benniu Technology, and DJI brought products relating to unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, new materials, power and energy, mission payloads, and UAV countermeasures.

Drones, unmanned boats, unmanned cars, and tracked robots were also on display to showcase their sci-tech innovation, application, outcome transformation, and three-dimensional combat capabilities.

Moreover, Xiangzhou District signed contracts with 12 projects, such as Yibo Intelligent, to strengthen the development of its unmanned system. Enterprises participating in the forum and exhibition were invited to join on-site tours in Xiangzhou to get a close look at the local investment environment.

In recent years, the district has been devoting continuous efforts to develop the unmanned system industry and Zhuhai has now become home to nearly 50 enterprises managing the sector.
