Integrated circuit summit opens in Pudong

From Dec 24 to 26, 2022, the eighth edition of Zhangjiang Hi-Tech ICwise Integrated Circuit Industry Summit was held. The three-day summit gathered a great number of top industrial talents to discuss the development of the integrated circuit industry.

According to Xia Zhongyu, the deputy director of the science and technology commission of Pudong New Area, Pudong has been utilizing its advantages to accelerate the accumulation of five core industrial boosters, namely, capital, talents, space, policy and ecology to generate new momentum for the development of the integrated circuit industry.

In addition to holding a series of summits and conferences that served as platforms for professionals in the industry to better communicate in recent years, Pudong has also utilized its booming financial industry to support the development of the integrated circuit industry. At the same time, a total of 16 innovative platforms, such as the Shanghai Integrated Circuit Research and Development Center (LCRD), were built to provide services and solutions for relevant enterprises.

Currently, Pudong has developed into an area that enjoys the most complete integrated circuit industrial chain, the most advanced technologies, and the strongest innovation capability in China. So far, there are more than 800 integrated circuit enterprises located in Pudong and has gathered about one-third of the domestic integrated circuit talents thanks to favorable policies.
