From the self-portraits with unnatural big smiles that elevated him to stardom, to the latest series in which flowers bloom on people's faces, Yue Minjun has been trying to reveal the truth behind happiness and welfare. His exhibition, titled Eudaimonia, now on at Tang Contemporary Art's space in Beijing draws on the Greek philosophical take on how people can live well. It shows the evolution of Yue's approach to art and expression of achieving true inner peace throughout decades. The exhibition runs through Feb 15.
