IM Motors, a joint venture between SAIC, Alibaba and Zhangjiang High-tech, started presales of the LS7, its first mid-and-large-sized SUV, on Tuesday.
Available in three powertrains, the SUV is priced from 350,000 yuan ($50,200) to 500,000 yuan.
IM said the model will hit the market in February 2023 and be delivered to customers one month later in March. The carmaker said the model, thanks to its innovative rooftop design, offers a 106-degree field of vision, the largest among SUVs. Other highlights include a 3,060-millimeter wheelbase, one of the longest in its segment. The model measures 5,049 mm in length, 2,002 mm in width and 1,731 mm in height.
IM did not offer details about its smart features but said the model will feature two lidar sensors and Nvidia's Orin chip. The carmaker said it received 3,000 orders for the model in just an hour after presales started.
