Winter sport event restarts

Another winter full of ice and snow has come to Baotou, which plans to hold the ninth Baotou National Fitness Ice and Snow Activity from December 2022 to March 2023. The launch ceremony will be held on Dec 24 at Kunlun International Ski Resort.

This activity is part of efforts by the city to respond to the call from the central government to "encourage 300 million people to participate in winter sports" and meet the diverse winter fitness needs of the general public, which is expected to drive the development of the ice and snow industry.

This season, a variety of public winter activities will be held at Kunlun International Ski Resort, Nanhai Wetland Park, sports centers and other places, with a series of skiing, speed skating, snow football, ice fishing, and winter swimming competitions set to be held.

Games, art festivals, and carnivals related to ice and snow will also be held in the city, as well as winter sports training activities for all ages.
