The Xi'an municipal administration of culture and tourism recently issued documents promoting the recovery of cultural tourism in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
Focusing on the ancient city of Bailuyuan, eco-tourism and the night tour economy, Xi'an will launch 50 micro-holiday destinations and 100 new micro-tourism routes for local tourists, as well as a number of high-quality boutique travel routes for domestic and foreign tourists.
Immersive cultural tourism experiences will be developed and various cultural tourism venues will be encouraged to find new ways to attract visitors. In addition, the camping economy and digital collections will be encouraged to meet the diverse needs of consumers when it comes cultural tourism.
Meanwhile, relying on four national and seven provincial-level night cultural and tourism consumption gathering areas, the night tour economy will be upgraded in terms of catering, shopping, entertainment, accommodation, and performances.
Online platforms, cultural and tourism enterprises and cultural and tourism departments will organize various forms of cultural and tourism promotion consumption activities to fully accelerate the recovery of the cultural tourism market, while the city's cultural and tourism industry monitoring platform will also be improved in order to form a tourism monitoring system with comprehensive coverage and efficient operation.
Moving forward, Xi'an will continue to highlight its own unique charm as a world-famous historical and cultural city and seek to attract more domestic and foreign tourists.
