Wuxi National Hi-tech District ranked ninth on the list of China's Top 100 Industrial Zones in 2022 released by the China Academy of Information and Communication at the China County Industrial Economic Development Forum on Nov 25.
WND has shown steady growth of industrial economy this year. From January to October , the total output value of industries above designated size in the district increased by 10.2 percent year-on-year to 503.78 billion yuan ($70.32 billion), contributing 26.8 percent to the city's economic growth.
The number of provincial smart factories in WND ranked first in Wuxi, with three newly added ones this year.
WND was listed in the first batch of 15 industrial parks piloting the integrated development of industrial internet platforms in the country. It was also listed as one of the first 23 national demonstration bases for new industrial industries.
In addition, the district's intelligent reform and digital transformation continue to take the lead in the city. Private economy in WND has achieved outstanding results, with its innovation ability has been continuously improved.
