When he first came to Shenyang, Pavel Pechacek, from the Czech Republic, missed the sausages and traditional meat stew from his hometown, which were difficult to get. Encouraged by his friends and family, he decided to open a restaurant in the city where all the food are prepared by Pechacek himself. While reducing homesickness, he can also introduce traditional food of Eastern Europe to local diners at the restaurant.
Pechacek believed that Czech cuisine would be embraced by Shenyang people because he found that the food culture of the Northeast region of China and that of the Czech Republic are quite similar. He has been proved right. The delicious homemade food and friendly service have attracted many locals to his restaurant.
