Xi'an ranks among top 20 cities for tourist satisfaction

The city of Xi'an – capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – recently made it onto the list of the top 20 cities for tourist satisfaction in China in 10 years, according to a survey carried out from the fourth quarter of 2012 to the third quarter of 2022.

The list was released by the China Tourism Academy at the 2022 China Cities Tourism Development Forum, held on Nov 25 in the city of Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province.

In recent years, Xi'an is said to have effectively explored innovative development models for its tourism industry.

Tourist attractions in the city – such as Datang Everbright City, the Shaanxi Grand Theater and the Tang Paradise – have launched a series of highly popular projects to attract visitors, stimulating new potential for cultural tourism.

Furthermore, compelling new business ideas and products – especially "e-sports + culture and tourism" – have introduced new experiences to consumers.

In this year's "Chang'an Night·My Night" Third Night Tour Carnival, Xi'an launched two major immersive e-sports tour routes, offering participants a powerful visual impact and an excellent on-site experience.

Meanwhile, digital technology applications being presented by museums in Xi'an have won the hearts of tourists – proving to be an important breakthrough in the development of the cultural tourism industry and making museum visits a top choice for more and more young people.
