China Nuclear Engineering and Construction Corp (CNECC) unveiled its "three platforms and a center" in the Qingpu Area of Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (Hongqiao CBD) on Nov 29.
The three platforms for design management, innovative science and technology, and investment, as well as the finance sharing center are expected to accelerate CNECC's expansion in Shanghai.
The company aims to fully use Shanghai's economic, cultural, scientific, technological and locational advantages to supplement and extend CNECC's industrial chain and better fulfill its responsibility to serve the country and Shanghai's high-quality development.
CNECC is a listed central State-owned enterprise affiliated with China National Nuclear Corp. It moved its headquarters from Beijing to the Qingpu Area of the Hongqiao CBD on Nov 29, 2021 in response to the call for relocating Beijing's non-capital functions.
Shanghai's nuclear power industry started up in the early 1970s and has developed a relatively complete industrial chain consisting of scientific research, design and equipment manufacturing.
CNECC's settlement in Shanghai is believed to consummate the metropolis' nuclear industrial sector and inject new impetus into its high-quality development.
