On Nov 29, 2,639 patients were released from hospital after being cured (64 imported cases; 2,575 indigenous cases, 1,207 in Guangdong province, 486 in Beijing municipality, 174 in Chongqing municipality, 94 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 93 in Sichuan province, 89 in Hebei province, 89 in Shanxi province, 57 in Henan province, 54 in Shaanxi province, 41 in Jiangsu province, 39 in Zhejiang province, 33 in Yunnan province, 18 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 14 in Liaoning province, 12 in Guizhou province, 10 in Shandong province, 10 in Hainan province, 9 in Hunan province, 9 in Tibet autonomous region, 8 in Heilongjiang province, 7 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Gansu province, 4 in Tianjin municipality, 3 in Fujian province, 3 in Qinghai province, 2 Jilin province, 2 in Hubei province, 1 in Anhui province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region). 234,635 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 27,546 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 26,781 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 765 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 319,536 confirmed cases and 5,233 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 278,687 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 35,616 confirmed cases (including 100 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 12,711,359 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 2,018,130 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on Nov 29, 8,754,720 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 458,268 in Hong Kong (10,731 had died and 98,738 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 800 in Macao (6 had died and 789 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,295,652 in Taiwan (14,297 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
