Zhuhai handles $2.2b in export tax rebates from Jan to Oct

Zhuhai taxation departments have handled a total of 15.87 billion yuan ($2.22 billion) in export tax rebates or exemptions in the first 10 months of 2022, helping local foreign trade enterprises liquidize assets and expand markets.

The averaged handling time of tax rebates in Zhuhai has been shortened to within five work days as of October, and that for Type I and II enterprises has even been shortened to less than three work days.

Miss Qing, the financial director of Zhuhai Ansjer Electronics, said that tax rebate affairs have become much more simplified in recent years, with fewer materials required.

Ansjer is a manufacturing enterprise with a history of more than a decade. Its security monitoring equipment has been well received in the United States and Europe. The export sales volume accounts for 70 percent of the enterprise's total. 

Qing noted that the 13-million-yuan ($2-million) export tax refund has effectively relieved financial pressure on the enterprise and will be used to cover daily material purchases and labor expenses.

Chen Lina, financial director of United Laboratories, said that the paperless handling procedure is more convenient for the enterprise and that staff members of taxation bureaus have provided door-to-door guidance to help the enterprise handle export tax refunds. 

Chen said that the enterprise has received 236 million yuan ($32 million) in export tax refunds since the start of 2022, increasing by 7.13 percent year-on-year. The enterprise's total export sales volume increased by 10 percent to 1.81 billion yuan ($253 million) in the first 10 months of 2022.
