Peugeot launched the new 5008 SUV on Friday, as a sign of the French marque's commitment to the Chinese market.
The new Peugeot 5008 made its global debut in October, when the brand celebrated its 20th anniversary in the Chinese market.
The model is available in four variants, bearing the marque's brand-new logo.
It measures 4,670 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,655 mm in height, with its wheelbase extending for 2,840 mm.
The model sports a 1.8-liter turbocharged engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The vehicle generates a maximum output of 155 kW and a top torque of 300 Nm.
The 5008 has a 12.3-inch liquid crystal display and a 10-inch center console. It also features the new-generation Blue-i 3.0 system, which incorporates such functions as voice command, navigation as well as music.
Peugeot was introduced into Sino-French joint venture Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen in 2002. So far, over 2.8 million Peugeot-branded vehicles have been sold in the country.
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen has seen its sales grow for 23 months in a row. It has sold over 100,000 vehicles so far this year, more than its total sales in 2021.
