On Nov 23, 1,826 patients were released from hospital after being cured (67 imported cases; 1,759 indigenous cases, 821 in Guangdong province, 220 in Chongqing municipality, 196 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 181 in Beijing municipality, 94 in Henan province, 47 in Sichuan province, 40 in Shanxi province, 35 in Shaanxi province, 17 in Jiangsu province, 16 in Yunnan province, 15 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 14 in Guizhou province, 13 in Gansu province, 12 in Qinghai province, 7 in Zhejiang province, 6 in Heilongjiang province, 6 in Fujian province, 5 in Liaoning province, 5 in Shandong province, 5 in Hunan province, 2 in Hebei province, 1 in Jiangxi province and 1 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region). 141,582 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. As of 24:00 on Nov 23, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 27,165 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 26,442 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 723 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 23, the National Health Commission had received reports of 297,516 confirmed cases and 5,232 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 265,471 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 26,813 confirmed cases (including 116 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 10,915,374 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 1,416,737 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on Nov 23, 8,664,234 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 452,483 in Hong Kong (10,634 had died and 97,012 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 796 in Macao (6 had died and 789 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,210,955 in Taiwan (14,060 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
