Kunming inked a total of 44 projects worth 100 billion yuan ($13.97 billion) on Nov 20 during the sixth China-South Asia Exposition and the 26th China Kunming Import and Export Fair. The projects included three foreign businesses worth 1.6 billion yuan.
The four-day expo opened Saturday in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province and was held online and on site. It attracted people from 80 countries, regions, and international organizations.
Yunnan province pocketed a total of 169 projects with an investment of over 400 billion yuan.
The investment projects focused on 12 key industries in Yunnan province, including green energy, modern agriculture, advanced manufacturing, new material and biomedicine.
The expo has become a platform for economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. More than 200 projects will likely be signed at this year's expo, with investments expected to exceed 200 billion yuan.
