During the first three quarters of this year, the added value of the manufacturing industry above a designated size in Southwest China's Guizhou province saw a year-on-year increase of 8.9 percent, higher than the national average.
The added value of the manufacturing industry above a designated size in Guizhou accounted for 19.8 percent of the province's total GDP, 1.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year.
Guizhou's investment in the manufacturing industry increased by 40.5 percent year-on-year, 36 percentage points higher than the growth rate of fix-asset investments.
The growth rate of the new energy and battery materials, medicine and big data electronic information industries in Guizhou increased by 122.7 percent, 119.2 percent and 91.8 percent year-on-year, respectively.
From January to September, Guizhou had 206,300 market entities involved in the manufacturing industry, an increase of 12,500 year-on-year.
The business revenue of manufacturing companies above a designated size increased 7.4 percent year-on-year, while their total revenue increased by 37.6 percent year-on-year.
To further the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, Guizhou will keep improving the quality and efficiency of major projects, accelerate project construction, expand effective investment, increase the number of market entities, and optimize services for enterprises.
