On Nov 20, 982 patients were released from hospital after being cured (55 imported cases; 927 indigenous cases, 546 in Guangdong province, 98 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 59 in Beijing municipality, 55 in Chongqing municipality, 33 in Shanxi province, 29 in Sichuan province, 15 in Shandong province, 14 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 10 in Heilongjiang province, 9 in Liaoning province, 9 in Yunnan province, 8 in Fujian province, 8 in Qinghai province, 5 in Henan province, 5 in Shaanxi province, 5 in Gansu province, 4 in Jiangsu province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Anhui province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Hunan province, 2 in Guizhou province, 1 in Hainan province and 1 in Tibet autonomous region). 130,082 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 12.

As of 24:00 on Nov 20, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 26,924 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 26,264 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 660 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 20, the National Health Commission had received reports of 288,562 confirmed cases and 5,229 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 261,123 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 22,210 confirmed cases (including 107 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 10,190,584 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 1,163,439 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on Nov 20, 208,514 asymptomatic cases (increased by 1 in Chongqing municipality after verification) were still under medical observation (including 1,138 imported cases [increased by 1 in Chongqing municipality after verification]).

As of 24:00 on Nov 20, 8,613,419 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 449,615 in Hong Kong (10,599 had died and 96,218 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 796 in Macao (6 had died and 789 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,163,008 in Taiwan (13,950 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
