A photo can be worth a thousand words

This thirty five years relationship has put me in a unique position to not only talk about but to show the city, yesterday, today and tomorrow. However, important also to illustrate the beauty within Beijing. A beauty that incorporates historic architecture going back many centuries; the feelings I can find in watching the older generations gathering daily in the parks; the stunning scenes I find around the lakes of Shichahai or the forested tranquility of the Fragrant Hills.
To me, this is the Beijing I have got to appreciate. A city that has given me much ever since 1987 on arriving at the railway station with its sign, "Welcome to Beijing".
