When China National Academy of Painting was established more than four decades ago, the first president, prominent artist Li Keran, viewed one of the academy's missions as discovering and cultivating the younger generation’s artists and to build launchpads for them.
This has become essential to the academy's work throughout decades since then, and exhibitions are mounted regularly to introduce to the public the recent creations of resident painters in their youth and middle ages.
Harmony Between Nature and Human, an exhibition through Nov 25 now on at China National Academy of Painting, shows works of art by 23 painters and sculptors at the academy, showing the new dimensions of artistic explorations and social developments.
