Chinese-made winter clothes and equipment have become popular in Europe as winter approaches. As many of them come from Suzhou, companies across the city have been operating at full capacity to increase production, test new products and seize market opportunities.
"Sales of our flannel blankets are up 50 percent year-on-year," commented the manager of a winter goods company.
"The European shopping spree is coming, and many distributors are eager to order our products," another manager added.
According to data provided by cross-border platform AliExpress, sales of thermal underwear, hot water bags and hand warmers in Europe have grown threefold month-on-month since October. Sales in France, Britain and Germany achieved year-on-year growth of 150 percent, 90 percent, and 130 percent, respectively.
The encouraging sales boom was attributed to Suzhou enterprises' long-term development plans. They were keen on enhancing the research and development of products, building their own brands, and realizing high-quality global expansion.
