The 2022 China International Digital Economy Expo kicked off on Wednesday in Zhengding county of Shijiazhuang, Hebei province.
It is the country's first national-level expo on the digital economy, Hebei Daily reported.
Themed "Integrating Innovation and Digital Empowerment", the three-day expo will bring together 24 academicians and more than 300 guests from home and abroad to share their insights on the digital economy.
An opening ceremony and summit were held on Wednesday morning, during which some guests gave speeches via online videos. A report on China's digital economy development research was also released.
The expo, which is being held online, features a series of events, including 30 forums, four competitions, three industrial matchmaking activities and some releases of innovative achievements.
The event is hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Government of Hebei.
