On Nov 12, 455 patients were released from hospital after being cured (40 imported cases; 415 indigenous cases, 140 in Guangdong province, 51 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 49 in Henan province, 41 in Fujian province, 27 in Chongqing municipality, 19 in Shanxi province, 15 in Jiangsu province, 13 in Heilongjiang province, 12 in Shaanxi province, 10 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 8 in Hunan province, 8 in Sichuan province, 7 in Yunnan province, 4 in Gansu province, 4 in Qinghai province, 3 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Shandong province, 1 in Hebei province and 1 in Liaoning province). 105,120 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 26,403 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 25,875 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 528 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, the National Health Commission had received reports of 271,968 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 254,567 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 12,175 confirmed cases (including 23 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 8,957,452 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 856,309 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 12, 1,218 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (120 imported cases; 1,098 indigenous cases, 199 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 137 in Guangdong province, 125 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 104 in Qinghai province, 91 in Fujian province, 62 in Henan province, 51 in Yunnan province, 47 in Shandong province, 38 in Hubei province, 33 in Sichuan province, 32 in Shaanxi province, 27 in Shanxi province, 27 in Heilongjiang province, 22 in Tianjin municipality, 20 in Hebei province, 14 in Liaoning province, 12 in Chongqing municipality, 11 in Jiangsu province, 8 in Hunan province, 8 in Ningxia Hui autonomous region, 7 in Shanghai municipality, 7 in Tibet autonomous region, 5 in Gansu province, 4 in Zhejiang province, 3 in Anhui province, 3 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and 1 in Guizhou province). 540 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 7 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 80,251 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 1,081 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 12, 8,459,154 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 442,661 in Hong Kong (10,517 had died and 94,206 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 795 in Macao (6 had died and 789 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 8,015,698 in Taiwan (13,501 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
