Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has achieved fruitful results in dispatching officials to the Yangtze River Economic Belt for attracting investment in the first three quarters of 2022, officials of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced on Nov 9.
A total of 294 projects were signed between Guangxi and the Yangtze River Economic Belt from January to September, with an overall investment of 173.9 billion yuan ($24.5 billion). Among them, 242 involve manufacturing and 36 are invested by powerful enterprises, such as "unicorn", "gazelle", and "little giant" enterprises.
Since the start of 2022, Guangxi has been taking an active role in carrying out matchmaking with the Yangtze River Economic Belt, dispatching 33 working teams of 157 people to the area.
A liaison office was set up in Suzhou, Jiangsu province in August, which has reached out to more than 80 local major enterprises like Weizhixiang and Leiyunshang. It has also helped the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat and Suzhou municipal people's government sign a memorandum of cooperation.
An official of the Investment Promotion Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region noted that Guangxi will speed up the improvement of the local business environment and help projects that have been signed start construction as soon as possible.
