Invitation extended from Hunan to the world

"It is really stunning." On the evening of November 19, Wang Xingzhou, a representative of Fliggy who came to Zhangjiajie to attend the first Hunan Tourism Development Conference, watched the two promotional videos released at the opening ceremony and was deeply impressed.

One of the two promotional videos is "Welcome to Charming Hunan", which shows the rich cultural and tourism resources like Huangshi Stockaded Village in Zhangjiajie, the Dongjiang Lake in Chenzhou and Emperor Yan’s Mausoleum in Zhuzhou. The other one is "Fairyland Zhangjiajie", which presents its towering peaks and lucid waters from an innovative perspective.

"These two videos display abundant tourism resources of Hunan Province. In addition to natural scenery, cultural landscape and red tourism resources, there are extreme sports such as bungee jumping and cycling that young people like. Therefore, Hunan boasts great consumption potential," Wang said.
"There are so many faces of my hometown. The traditional scenic spots are more beautiful, and the new ones are very attractive. The promotional videos can be used as a travel strategy to Zhangjiajie. I want to visit all these tourist attractions with my family and friends." Lu Xu, a citizen of Zhangjiajie, felt very proud after watching the videos.

"It's so beautiful! Although I have watched many promotional videos, "Welcome to Charming Hunan" and "Fairyland Zhangjiajie" still amaze me," said Zhang Shuang, vice president of the School of Dance of Hunan Vocational College of Art. "Welcome to Charming Hunan" not only displays the enthralling natural scenery of Hunan, but also gives a picture of traditional cultural elements like the embroidery, the costumes of the Miao ethnic group, the dragon dance and the dragon boat racing.

"I have been to many places shown in "Welcome to Charming Hunan". It impresses people with a profound cultural history of Hunan according to the timeline. I have retired now and I would like to visit all the places that are displayed in the video but I have not been to yet,” said Zhan Lihong, a tourist from Changsha.

"The promotional videos showing the enchanting scenery in various cities and prefecture are an invitation extended from Hunan to the world," said Liu Yang, secretary-general of the Tour Guide Branch of Zhangjiajie Tourism Association and a national excellent tour guide. Liu was inspired by the novel perspective of the videos. Next, the association will ask all tour guides in Zhangjiajie to watch these two promotional videos, in an effort to tell the story of Zhangjiajie in a creative way.
