To meet the travel needs of residents amid the COVID-19 epidemic, some bus lines are reopening from Nov 10 and the operation of Metro Line 1 and Line 2 will resume operations in Hohhot – capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
From 00:00 to 24:00 on Nov 7, some 156 new local confirmed cases and 1,604 asymptomatic infections were added in the city – a total of 1,760 people. Of those, 1,734 were people who are under quarantine.
Meanwhile, a total of 35 local confirmed cases were pronounced cured and discharged and 188 local asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation.
As of Nov 8, a total of 1,797 low-risk and epidemic-free communities previously under closed-off management have been reopened. In addition, 21 high-risk areas were adjusted to medium-risk areas, 13 medium-risk areas were adjusted to low-risk areas and seven new high-risk areas were added.
Stores along the streets have reportedly recovered in an orderly manner. To date, 917 supermarkets, convenience stores, fresh food stores, grain and oil stores, non-staple food stores and frozen food stores have been opened in four districts of the city and in the Jinchuan area of Tumd Left Banner.
