Hundreds of workers are toiling tirelessly to speed up the construction of the Bama Tea Oil Ecological Industrial Park project in Hechi's Bama Yao autonomous county, which is expected to be completed and put into production in June of next year.
As the first large-scale and standardized ecological industrial park in Bama, it is a key project at the autonomous region, city, and county levels. The project takes the tea oil industry as the main focus, adopts the "enterprise + professional cooperative organization + base + farmer" business model, as well as integrates a tea oil comprehensive processing plant and a tea oil industry research base.
The project is planned by Bama International Tourism Zone Investment and Development Group. It has a total investment of 500 million yuan ($69 million) and covers an area of about 73 mu (5 hectares).
When the project reaches its full capacity, it is projected to achieve an annual production capacity of 4,000 metric tons of tea oil and 250 tons of essential oil products, generating an output value of about 900 million yuan and a gross profit of about 300 million yuan, while adding more than 200 local jobs. The project will promote the development of the tea oil industry in Guangxi and help Bama's rural vitalization efforts.
