State Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed) is searching for a Director

Position Description

TheState Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed) focuses mainly on the research of plant diversity and conservation, phylogenetics and evolution, and the rapid domestication and improvement of important economic crops. It is established based on the Institute of Botany oftheChinese Academy of Sciences (IBCAS), and jointly built by four other institutes of CAS, namely,theKunming Institute of Botany, South China Botanical Garden, Wuhan Botanical Garden and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden. The laboratory comprises 50-60 research teams.

The State Key Laboratory of Plant Diversity and Prominent Crops (proposed) invites applications for the position of Director. Applicants should be highly qualified and internationally recognized experts in the research fields of plant diversity and conservation, phylogenetics and evolution, and the rapid domestication and improvement of prominent crops. Applicants should demonstrate an outstanding ability, innovative potential, and scientific stringency. They are expected to show continued creativity as well as academic leadership and should be dedicated to mentoring younger scientists.
