According to the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, 10 areas in Southwest China's Guizhou province were recently selected as national key rural tourism villages and towns.
1. Shanbao community, Zunyi
Shanbao community is located 25 kilometers away from Zunyi's Tongzi county, with an average elevation of 1,350 meters and an average summer temperature of 18 C. It is known as a natural "oxygen bar" and "air conditioner".

2. Awaizhai village, Anshun
Awaizhai village is home to the Bouyei ethnic group. In Bouyei language, "awai" means beautiful mountains and rivers, singing birds and fragrant flowers.
Here, visitors can experience both rural scenery and the charm of traditional villages.
3. Pengcheng community, Bijie
Pengcheng community in Bijie's Dafang county is home to various ethnic groups such as Han, Yi, Miao and Bai. Tourists can enjoy the world's largest azalea garden, cool 19 C summer weather, folk customs, and convenient transportation and shopping.
4. Fanjingshan village, Tongren
Fanjingshan village is located in the center of the Fanjing Mountain national natural reserve and focuses on rural tourism, folk customs, tourism, and culturing of special species.

5. Huanggang village, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture
Huanggang village is a Dong village which dates back to the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Currently, the village has more than 300 houses, which are all near mountains or rivers.
6. Gaoqiao village, Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture
Gaoqiao village is located at the west exit of Libo Xiaoqikong scenic area. The karst landscape here is highly unique.
7. Shuangsheng village
Shuangsheng village in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture is located at the center of Wanfenglin scenic area. The Han, Miao and Yi ethnic groups live here in harmony with nature.
8. Hefeng township, Guiyang
Hefeng township is located along the Qinglong River and about 60 km away from downtown Guiyang. In recent years, the township has been actively promoting the integrated development of agriculture and tourism, and developing a number of tourist attractions.

9. Xinzhou town, Zunyi
Xinzhou town is located to the southeast of Dalou Mountain. Here, tourists can see villagers planting flowers, grass and trees in front of and behind their houses, which are all clean and beautiful.
10. Luobie township, Liupanshui
Luobie township is only 12 km away from the world-famous Huangguoshu Waterfall. It boasts mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and karst caves.
